Agriculture department of Maharastra has started an awareness programme- Unnat Sheti Abhiyan ,The campaign has already begun from May 25 and it will continue up to June 8th .There have been various government schemes for the welfare of farmers, but they are unaware of these schemes. This is the reason farmers are unable to take benefits of this. Considering this fact, a fortnight programme has been organised by the state agricultural department in Nashik division agriculture department. Maharastra Government is providing subsidies in various schemes right from farm ponds to the purchase of agricultural machinery. The government has set a target of doubling income of farmers by 2022 and also help increase the productivity.
