Agriculture Minister Jai Parkash Dalal said today that the Centre had laid great stress on micro-irrigation in the Budget with an aim to promote the method among farmers. Interacting with mediapersons in Bhiwani, he said there was a provision of giving up to 85 per cent subsidy on equipment in the micro-irrigation sector by the state government. “This will promote drip irrigation among farmers, save irrigation water and increase production,” he said.
