So far, 19, 60,152 farmers have registered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana, a pension scheme launched by the Centre.  Under this pension scheme, the government had decided to add 5 crore farmers with cultivable land up to 2 hectares in the first phase. In the second phase, all 12 crore small and marginal farmers will be added to it. The central government had started the registration process for Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan yojana on 9th August 2019. Under PM-KMY, after the completion of 60 years of age, farmers will be given a pension of Rs 3000 per month i.e. Rs 36,000 annually.
