Haryana Farmer's Cow Gets First Prize for High Milk Production at National Dairy Mela

The three-day National Dairy Mela 2020 was held at the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) in Karnal. Contests were organized in as many as 10 different categories, including beauty as well as milk production at the dairy mela. A cow that belonged to a farmer from Dadupur village in Karnal, Pradeep bagged the first prize in the HF crossbreed category of high milk output by yielding 58.86kg milk. The second prize was given to a cow owned by another farmer, Vijender Chauhan of Barani Khalsa for producing 58 kg milk per day.
