Scientists Develop New Variety of Lady finger

Agricultural scientists in India have achieved a big success. After almost 23 years of continuous hard work, a new variety of lady finger (Bhindi) has been developed. This latest variety has been developed by the scientists of the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (IIVR) located in Uttar Pradesh. The most important thing about this lady finger is that it is RED in colour instead of GREEN and that is why it has been named as 'Kashi Lalima'.this ladyfinger is full of nutrients like anti-oxidant, iron, and calcium. The cost of this new red-colored ladyfinger is more than the normal ladyfinger. The market price of different varieties of Kashi Lalima ladyfinger will range from Rs. 100 to 500 per kg.
